Spring 2018 the Memoires of Theo Loevendie will be published by Prometheus, Amsterdam, containing his childhood in a poor neighbourhood in Amsterdam, including the misery of World War 2 and his late start to study composition and clarinet at the Amsterdam Conservatory after having developed a reputation as a composer and saxophonist in the field of jazz.
Next to his observations as a Professor of Composition at the Conservatories of Rotterdam, the Hague and Amsterdam we read about his visits in many countries connected to lectures or performances of his works.
